FRANKFORT, Ill. (WSIL) -- Two Frankfort Community High School students were struck by a vehicle on Main Street while heading to the Homecoming Dance on October 19, according to a school official.
Superintendent Matt Donkin of the Frankfort Community Unit School District 168 said the incident occurred just after 8 p.m. as rain was falling. He stated students were crossing to Max Morris Gym when they were hit.
Donkin said the students were taken to a local hospital for evaluation and will be able to go home.
"We thank the WFPD and WFFD for their help," Donkin said in an online statement.
