A woman told of her distress after hundreds of ladybirds 'invaded' her home.

Lois Mallett-Walker said she had struggled to cope since the insects swarmed her house.

The little critters have been seen all over her windows, walls and curtains.

Lois claimed about 300 ladybirds, including baby ones, started crawling near doors in her house which lead outside.

The UK has seen a huge increase in the number of ladybirds this year due to warmer weather which provides perfect breeding conditions and plenty of food.

The 35-year-old, from Hertfordshire, said: "I love ladybugs, but it was far too many in my house for me.
