HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — ValleySportCentral has nominated three high school football teams to claim the title of Team of the Week.

The nominees for Week 8 are the Vela Sabercats, Economedes and Rio Hondo!

The Sabercats blanked Rowe, 16-0, to improve to 4-0 in District 16-5A Division I. Vela is 6-1 overall.

The Jaguars beat PSJA 52-3. Economedes improves to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in District 31-6A.

The Bobcats defeated Lyford 59-13. Rio Hondo is now 7-0 overall and 4-0 in District 16-3A Division I.
