2CRANFORD, NJ – A quiet Glenwood Road neighborhood was shaken early Sunday morning when three suspects broke into a home and fled after being startled by the family dog.

The incident occurred around 4:57 a.m., according to the Cranford Police Department, which responded to a report of a residential burglary and attempted vehicle theft.

Authorities say the suspects, who entered the home while residents were inside, ran off in a dark, mid-sized sedan — possibly a BMW — after the dog began barking.
