STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — If a crisp fall week is what you’re looking for, a crisp fall week is what you’re going to get (more or less).

Sunday will be the warmest day of the week at a comfortable 73 degrees, with AccuWeather describing the day as “breezy and pleasant with a blend of sun and clouds.”

The night, however, will bring thunderstorms, pounding rain, and strong wind gusts that will carry on into the beginning of the workweek.

Monday will only reach a high of 64 degrees, a nearly 10-degree drop from Sunday. The rain, AccuWeather said , “can lead to poor visibility and slow travel during the morning commute,” on top of the ponding that Sunday night’s rain created.
