Manchester United legend David Beckham has already made his stance clear that the Glazers should sell up at Old Trafford - amid rumours of a sensational return to the club as part of a consortium from the United Arab Emirates.

The Mirror reported this weekend that the 50-year-old Inter Miami co-owner has been approached by an unidentified consortium to serve as an ambassador for a potential £5billion takeover of the club.

The group is reportedly set to offer Beckham, who has a net worth of £300million, a chance to return to his former club after expressing criticism of the Glazer ownership in previous years.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe , and Ineos, purchased a minority shareholding of 27.7 per cent stake in February 2024, which has since grown to nearly 29 per cent.
