IOWA CITY, Iowa. — Once again, it wasn’t pretty for Penn State.

There were offensive struggles and defensive lapses as the Nittany Lions dropped their fourth straight game to move to 3-4 in 2025, making it since Nov. 30 of last year since they beat a Big Ten opponent.

While it may seem to be all doom and gloom for Penn State, there were still some positives to take away from the loss to the Hawkeyes:

Allen running wild

Through Penn State’s first five games of the season, running back Kaytron Allen was a hot topic due to his success, but also because he was not touching the ball enough. Following the defeat to UCLA, Allen had 54 carries for 377 yards and six touchdowns while his counterpart Nick Singleton had 63 carries for 239 yards and five scores.
