ELNORA - Springs Valley got the final defensive stop as Class A’s No. 1 outfit did just enough to end the North Daviess unbeaten streak and claim a 13-8 decision in a match-up of undefeated top-10 teams.

A season ago, the Blackhawks pounded the Cougars in a 49-0 running-clock affair in French Lick. This time around, ND had manufactured an 8-0 record for the first time in school history and had their focus squarely on knocking off a Valley program that had beaten the Cougs seven consecutive times dating back to 2019.
