Out of work Danny Rohl is reportedly back in the running to be the next Rangers manager - just days after ruling himself out. ‌

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss had emerged as the favourite to replace Russell Martin after impressing US owners Andrew Cavenagh and Paarag Marathe during talks in London last weekend. ‌

That followed Steven Gerrard's decision to pull out of the running for the job due to the "timing" of a return to Glasgow for the title-winning Rangers boss despite days of talks. ‌

Record Sport understand the board were split on Rohl leading them to pursue Shanghai Port boss Kevin Muscat - despite the boss taking steps to put a backroom team in place should he land the job .
