AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Police Department reports that an off-duty officer was arrested on Saturday night on a "DWI" charge following a two-vehicle wreck in southwest Amarillo.

According to APD, at around 8:10 p.m. on Oct. 18, officers were called to a minor wreck in the 2200 block of Wolflin Avenue. Officials detailed that the caller advised APD that she was driving a white Ford and was hit by a red truck.

APD said the female in the Ford was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Amarillo Police identified the driver of the red truck as Tre Galvan, 33, an off-duty Amarillo Police officer, after investigation. Officials said Galvan exhibited signs of possible intoxication and was taken to an area hospital for a blood draw before being booked into
