Three men are on the run after a teenage boy's ute was stolen in a terrifying armed robbery on the Fraser Coast in Queensland.
The 17-year-old was parked in his white Mitsubishi Triton ute on Charleton Esplanade in Point Vernon, Hervey Bay, when he was approach by three males.
Police said the trio "threatened the boy with a knife" as they demanded he hand over his ute.
The vehicle, which bears the Queensland registration plates 111JO5, has not been found, Queensland Police said in a statement.
Police have urged anyone with relevant information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward as investigations continue.
The boy was not physically injured during the robbery.
