The derby between two Israeli clubs was called off following violent clashes between supporters this weekend.
The Israeli Premier League was advised by local police to postpone the match between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Tel Aviv after altercations ensued shortly before kick off on Sunday (October 19). Trouble flared in and around the Bloomfield Stadium, which is a venue shared by both clubs.
A statement from Maccabi read: “Following the police’s decision, it was determined that the Tel Aviv derby will not take place tonight.”
