Man arrested after asking for gas, saying ‘not to call the cops,’ while driving stolen truck

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) – A man in southeast Kansas was arrested over the weekend for stealing a truck, the sheriff’s office says.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday evening that deputies received a call that a man had pulled into a residence in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and asked the homeowner for gas and to “not call the cops.”
