The price of a bacon and egg sandwich in a Sydney café has infuriated locals, with the costly menu revealing the harsh truth of the rising cost of living in the city.
A Sydneysider sparked a huge debate on inflation after sharing a picture on Reddit of the all day menu of an eatery in the Northern Sydney suburb of Terrey Hills.
"Where is Sydney's most expensive bacon and egg roll?" The caption read, with the local also asking what the "absolute maximum" people would pay for the popular breakfast item "considering many places will do a breakfast special roll and coffee for $10 to $12".
On the menu, a bacon and egg sandwich, served on house made sourdough Turkish bread, with aioli, rocket and relish, was priced at $19.
