HONOLULU (Island News) – The man accused of stabbing a woman in Pearl City, has been charged.

Wes Yamamoto, 48, was charged for Assault in the Second Degree on Saturday night, with his bail set at $11,000.

Yamamoto was arrested on Friday, October 17, and he was initially arrested for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.

It was reported that Yamamoto allegedly stabbed a 48-year-old woman several times at the Manana Skatepark on Waimano Home Road in Pearl City on Friday.

Police said that the stabbing was not a random attack and that Yamamoto knew the woman.

The woman was reported to be in serious condition.
