SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Multiple agencies and organizations are asking the public for information regarding a devastating house fire that killed two children.

The Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) and the Shreveport Police Department (SPD), alongside the Shreveport administration, city council, and the Caddo Parish School Board, are looking to the public for answers after a fire claimed the lives of two children.

On Oct. 13, in the early morning hours, a fire occured in the 3100 block of Milton Street. Firefighters rescued two children, ages five and eight, from a burning home.

The two children were unconscious and not breathing, despite the efforts of first responders.

The two children tragically died after a week-long battle.
