Sunday shaped up to be another day with dry weather, sunshine and blue skies. Aside from an ideal weekend, winds were bit breezy across New Mexico throughout the weekend on Sunday. Wind gusts reached 38 mph in Tucumcari, while Clayton reached 43 mph today. Breezy to windy conditions will be sticking around in parts of northern and eastern New Mexico, particularly around mountainous areas. The National Weather Service will be issuing a High Wind Warning overnight for the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, along with, Torrance and Guadalupe Counties.
This warning will be in effect from 2 am - 3 pm on Monday, again, for winds that may be sustained around 30-40 mph and gusts near 60 mph. In addition to the breezy to windy conditions, sunshine is expected across the state. Monday's high temperatures
