For years, the field at Pullman Park has needed upgrades and now those renovations are finally coming along.
The agreement made by the Butler Area School District in June to begin managing the park has already helped the field. On Monday, Oct. 13, superintendent Brian White said it should only be a matter of weeks until turf is replaced.
The school district took over management duties from the City of Butler’s Parks, Recreation, Grounds & Facilities Authority, a volunteer-based organization. Now, the district bears the authority and responsibility to supervise, manage and control the operations of the park, including scheduling, staffing and marketing.
