A retired Sydneysider has hit out at a development proposal and claimed residents who work don't understand the impact of new housing on the local area.
Residents of Mosman, a wealthy harbourside suburb located on Sydney's lower north shore, are campaigning against new housing developments for the area.
A $50million eight-storey unit block, comprised of 14 apartments, is planned for Almora Street in Balmoral, with the proposal submitted under NSW government's new low and mid-rise (LMR) housing policy.
Locals have slammed the proposal and argue the development will change the "unique identity" of Balmoral.
In a video shared to Instagram by community group Mosman Matters, a female retiree, whose identity was hidden, claimed the proposal will increase congestion and make housing even mo
