A recent walking tour of Warwick's Potowomut neighborhood inadvertently highlighted the many challenges facing the Coastal Resources Management Council, from unpermitted work to sprinklers blocking a shoreline right-of-way.
"It's never boring," observed CRMC public information coordinator Laura Dwyer.
Hosted by the CRMC, Rhode Island Sea Grant and the University of Rhode Island's Coastal Institute, the tour drew more than a dozen curious participants on Sept. 29. Ahead of the event, organizers warned that there was some confusion about where visitors could park.
