Karachi police have arrested the leader of the notorious "masi gang" with the assistance of Interpol, officials confirmed on Monday.
The suspect, Imran, son of Abbas Ali, was apprehended after being detained in Saudi Arabia and subsequently handed over to Pakistani authorities.
Imran had previously obtained a free visa to Saudi Arabia using money acquired through theft. Two female accomplices linked to the gang had already been arrested earlier.
According to Bin Qasim Investigation DSP Shahnawaz Memon, Karachi police initiated a request to Interpol for a red warrant against Imran, which led to his arrest in Saudi Arabia.
Imran served a nine-month sentence under Saudi law before being transferred to Pakistani officials in Islamabad last Sunday. He was then taken into custody by the Bin
