THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a possibility of heavy rains in the state. Four districts-- Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram and Kozhikode are on orange alert. The forecast is for very heavy rain in isolated places. A yellow alert has also been issued in ten other districts.

The IMD has predicted that very heavy rain will continue in the coming days. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad are on yellow alert tomorrow. On Wednesday, an orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam.
