MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A tractor-trailer driver was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash on I-75 in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal wreck happened around 8:05 p.m. on I-75 south near mile marker 370.

The FHP said the semitrailer went off the road and struck a guardrail before traveling into a line of trees.

The side of the semi struck several trees before hitting a large tree that caused the big rig to jackknife and catch fire as the cab separated from the trailer, according to an FHP crash report.

No other details have been released.
