CHINATOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) – A 71-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy were attacked over a skateboard in Chinatown on Sunday, according to the NYPD.
Police said it happened near East Broadway and Market Street around 7:25 a.m. The victims were crossing the street when the boy’s skateboard touched a man, according to authorities.
Police said the man is accused of arguing and punching both victims in their faces. The woman suffered a cut to her lip while the child had pain and redness to his face, according to authorities.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital. Police said the suspect fled after the attack, but it’s unclear where he went.
He was last seen wearing a multicolored coat, blue jeans and white sneakers, according to authorities.
