A case has been registered against Ola Electric founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal for allegedly abetting an employee’s suicide. The Bengaluru police have also named the company’s senior executive Subrat Kumar Das in the FIR.

Initially, Bhavish’s name was not included in the FIR filed on 6 October, but based on the deceased’s brother’s request, a case under Section 108 of the BNS has now been registered against him. So far, neither Bhavish Aggarwal nor the company has issued any statement.

K. Arvind, a 38-year-old engineer working at the company since 2022, committed suicide on 28 September. The deceased’s brother claimed that ₹17 lakh was deposited into his brother’s account after his death.
