INDIANA (WPTA) - This Saturday, Indiana State Police (ISP) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will partner to host a ‘Prescription Drug Take Back’ event.
The ‘Prescription Drug Take Back’ initiative aims to reduce prescription drug abuse and theft by promoting the safe disposal of unwanted medications.
The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On this day, all ISP posts, excluding the Indiana Toll Road post, will be accepting expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs as well as vape cartridges and pens without batteries.
Needles and sharps will not be accepted.
ISP says the service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.
