A 36-year-old man was struck and killed while walking along a roadway in Winslow Township on Saturday, police said.

According to police, 36-year-old Jon Kitzmiller of Sicklerville, New Jersey, was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene at about 7:28 p.m. on Saturday, in the area of Andrews Road by Lehigh Manor Drive.

Kitzmiller, officials believe, was walking westbound in the middle of the roadway when he was struck by a motor vehicle.

Officials said that Kitzmiller was discovered lying in the roadway and, though he was stabilized and taken to a nearby hospital after the crash, he eventually succumbed to the injuries he suffered in this incident.
