The Boston Police Department is investigating four cash register robberies from last week, all involving a similar tactic to steal money.

In each robbery, the suspect appeared to make a purchase at the location before seizing the cash register whenever a clerk opened it, according to a press release from the department.

“In all reported cases, one suspect has been described as wearing a black puffy jacket with the hood up, black pants, and a black surgical mask,” the press release reads. “No weapons were displayed during any of the incidents.”

The locations of the robberies are at 853 River St in Hyde Park, 59 Fairmount Ave. in Hyde Park, 739 Parker St. in Roxbury and 186 Heath St. in Jamaica Plain, according to the police department’s website .
