LAKE MILTON, Ohio - A 19-year-old man has died after drowning in Lake Milton.

According to a press release, the Lake Milton, Craig Beach and Berlin Township Fire Departments were called after receiving reports of a male falling off a dam into Lake Milton just before 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Authorities say four friends were fishing from the lakeside close to Grandview Road when one reached down to grab a fishing net and fell into the water.

According to the release, three of the four friends fell into the water, but only two were able to get out.

Divers were able to recover the 19-year-old just before 11:30 p.m. and performed life-saving measures on him. He was then transported to a hospital in Portage County.
