PHOENIX — A pedestrian has died after being involved in a crash in Phoenix, according to Phoenix Police.

Officers responded around 8:37 p.m. on Monday to the scene near 27th and Northern avenues for a crash involving a pedestrian. When they arrived on the scene, officers found a male pedestrian with serious injuries.

According to Phoenix police, the man was taken to a hospital, but he didn't survive his injuries and was pronounced dead. Authorities said the vehicle involved in the crash left the scene before officers arrived.

The identity of the pedestrian was not released. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-witness, or 480-Testigo.
