WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department has released the identity and condition of a driver rescued from his submerged vehicle Saturday night after swerving off of Arnold’s Neck road into the inner basin of Apponaug Cove.

Frank Davis, 71, of Warwick was pulled from his vehicle that was spotted approximately 100 feet from shore at 7:17 p.m. Saturday, according to Warwick Police Department Chief Michael Lima.

Officers Matthew Maloney, Nicholas Manocchio and Maxwell Neiley arrived at 376 Arnold’s Neck Road and observed the car with only the roof visible above water.

Witnesses told the officers that they observed a subject in the driver’s seat prior to the vehicle’s partial submergence.
