A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Pakistan on Monday, marking the third tremor to hit the country in as many days, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre.
The quake’s epicenter was reported in the northern region, with tremors felt across several adjoining areas. No casualties or major damage have been reported so far. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km, making the area susceptible to aftershocks.
In a post on X, the National Centre for Seismology said, "EQ of M: 4.7, On: 20/10/2025 11:12:08 IST, Lat: 30.51 N, Long: 70.41 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Pakistan."
Earthquakes of moderate 4.0 intensity had also hit Pakistan on Saturday and Sunday, sparking concern among residents and prompting officials to review preparedness measures in quake-prone zone
