A seventh person has died after being shot during a mass shooting that occurred early October in downtown Leland hours after a high school homecoming game in the city, a medical official said.
Hinds County Interim Coroner Jeramiah Howard confirmed Ebanee Williams, 25, of Greenville, succumbed Friday night, Oct. 17, to injuries sustained during the shooting that occurred at approximately midnight Oct. 11, which left six others dead.
Howard confirmed Williams had been at the University of Mississippi Medical Center since the shooting. Howard said Williams' body will be sent to the Mississippi State Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
