A person has died after being hit by a train in Glasgow .
Emergency services raced to Easterhouse Station after receiving reports of a casualty on the railway line at around 1pm on Monday. Ambulance crews attended, however, the person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
According to National Rail, services Balloch/Milngavie to Airdrie, Helensburgh Central, Garscadden, Milngavie and Edinburgh were affected as a result of the incident.
Rail replacement services were in place to run on some of these routes. It's understood the line has no reopened by disruption is still expected.
