Centennial Public School (SCPS) in Sundridge is bringing back Trunk or Treat, a popular community Halloween event.

On Halloween night, the school opens its doors and its parking lot to provide a warm space for trick or treaters to gather. Residents are welcome, too. Community members are invited to load some candy in their trunk and drive it over to the school for the kids to enjoy. That’s where the event gets its name — Trunk or Treat.

The goal is to create a central gathering area on Halloween, as many residents live in rural areas and don’t have many trick-or-treaters stop by. Visitors to the school can warm up, use the restroom, enjoy hot chocolate and trick-or-treat all at one convenient location.
