CHARLESTON — How should a nationally recognized food festival celebrate its 20th anniversary?

Alyssa Maute Smith and her team have been working for more than two years to decide the best approach.

As she prepared for the Charleston Wine + Food Festival schedule launch in her third full year as executive director, she felt confident that the upcoming milestone would be worthy of where the city has been and where it’s going.

The theme of the 2026 Charleston Wine + Food Festival is “20 Years of Charleston.” The schedule for the March 4-8 citywide event dropped at 11 a.m. Oct. 20. Tickets to the approximately 90 events go on sale to the public at 11 a.m. Oct. 23.

“You’ll see this theme of past, present and future,” Maute Smith said. “I feel like every event on here is very intentional.”
