In a new round of scamming , fraudsters are sending mysterious “gifts” to a target’s house and using their personal information for fraudulent business reviews.

The scam is known as an illegal “brushing scam,” — a practice that is illegal in the U.S. and signals your personal information has been compromised, according to the United States Postal Service .
