A northeast Calgary property has been shuttered by Alberta Sheriffs after causing several issues for the community over the last few years.
The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) unit of the Alberta Sheriffs secured a court order against the owner of 5128 Maryvale Drive NE.
From March 2023 to March 2025, Calgary police received 45 calls for service at this property.
Community members complained of suspected drug and criminal activity even after a warning was issued by SCAN last November.
Officers say they’ve seen activity consistent with illegal drug trafficking and abuse occurring at the property.
