The man accused of killing Sam Graham had other options rather than staying at his east-end home waiting for his sister’s boyfriend to return, the prosecution charged Friday.

Assistant Crown attorney Matthew Caputo suggested Montana Lewis wanted to fight Graham after his twin sister’s beau pushed and hurt him during an argument on Nov. 12, 2020.

“ You were going to deal with it yourself,” he said.

Caputo told Lewis there was “a whole bunch of things” he could have done including reporting the assault to police, go to see his ex-girlfriend or not going downstairs from his bedroom when his sibling, Semiah, and Graham returned from a trip to a vape shop shortly before the fatal stabbing.
