LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) — There’s a traffic alert for drivers in Lexington.

All inbound lanes of Winchester Road are shut down at Sir Barton Way as crews work to offload a fully loaded trailer from a broken-down semi.

According to Lexwrecks, the closure is near Patchen Wilkes Drive.

Traffic is being diverted to Sir Barton Way or Executive Drive while crews clear the scene.

Officials say the disruption is expected to last until around 5 p.m. Drivers should avoid the area and use alternate routes.
