Strictly’s Stefan Dennis has been flooded with messages of support from his co-stars after they were left ‘gutted’ by his withdrawal from the series.

It was confirmed on Monday evening (October 20) that Stefan and professional dancer Dianne Buswell were withdrawing from the programme .

Having received a bye for movie week after suffering from illness, Stefan confirmed in a statement that he tore his calf.

He said: “This morning I woke up to the most disappointing day of the time in my Strictly journey.

“Just when I had finally gained the confidence to do well with my dancing in the comp and achieve more great dances along the way, I was told that on Saturday I had torn my calf so significantly that I am now forced to withdraw from the show.
