Tzvika Mor, father of Hamas captivity survivor Eitan Mor, revealed new details regarding his son’s ordeal during an interview on Sunday by Israel’s Kan Reshet Bet public radio.
Eitan was held in isolation for a year following his abduction by terrorists on Oct. 7, 2023, according to his father. Over his roughly two years in Gaza, Eitan was transferred between approximately 40 different hiding places—all in Gaza City, some above and some below ground.
His son suffered periods of extreme hunger, during which he received only a few spoonfuls of rice daily, said Mor. In one incident, he recalled, Eitan managed to steal pita bread—but suffered brutally violent punishment.
