LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Jeffersonville police officer was arrested after being pulled over in Harrison County, Indiana.
Jeffersonville police said Officer Austin Schoen was arrested by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office around 1 a.m. Sunday. He was charged with operating while intoxicated and OWI with a blood alcohol concentration of .15 or more. Schoen was off-duty at the time.
According to Jeffersonville police, Schoen is a probationary patrol officer with the department and was hired on Feb. 14, 2025. Schoen was arrested on Oct. 19 and has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of both an internal and criminal investigation.
