JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — A southern Indiana police office is under investigation for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
On Monday, the Jeffersonville Police Department said Austin Schoen, a probationary patrol officer, was arrested around 1 a.m. on Sunday after a traffic stop in Harrison County.
Schoen was off-duty at the time of his arrest, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Jeffersonville Police said Schoen was charged with operating while intoxicated (OWI) and OWI with a blood alcohol concentration of .15 or greater.
