JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. —
A Jeffersonville Police Department officer was arrested for allegedly drunk driving over the weekend.
Probationary Patrol Officer Austin Schoen was arrested during a traffic stop in Harrison County on Sunday. He was off-duty at the time of his arrest.
According to police, Schoen was arrested around 1 a.m. on Sunday.
He is charged with operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration of .15 or greater.
The legal limit in Indiana is .08.
Police did not say what Schoen's BAC was.
Schoen has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of this case.
