Authorities Monday released more details about a deadly shooting of a man inside a beauty supply store in Compton, saying the man threatened people before being gunned down.

The investigation initially began Sunday afternoon when a man, who allegedly caused “some destruction" inside Pink Beauty Supply on Alondra Boulevard near Long Beach Boulevard, was shot and killed, according to the LA County Sheriff’s Department. Investigators said another customer inside the store fired her weapon, fatally striking the man.

Investigators now believe the man, 43, walked into the store and sexually assaulted a female customer by grabbing her chest. The man then began throwing items at the staff while making threats and claiming
