LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The new week got off to a tough start for millions of people around the world due to the massive Amazon Web Services outage .

Amazon officials said most systems should be back online and services have been “recovering” throughout the day.

The outages have had a widespread impact on the day-to-day digital functions for people all across the world, including right here in Mid-Michigan.

Officials with Michigan State University’s dining services, Eat At State, said the AWS outage led to the closure of the Starbucks at the MSU Library. It also caused issues with their mobile ordering through GrubHub.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding,” officials said in a statement Monday.
