NEW ORLEANS - Coastal Carolina graduate guard Kristin Williams was named to the preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team, the league announced on Monday.

Williams returns to the Chants after averaging 10.8 points per game last season. She led the league and ranked fourth in program history with 82 made three-pointers. During her first season with the Chants, Williams averaged 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, while collecting 36 steals. The San Diego-native transferred to Coastal after two years at UMass.

The Chanticleers were picked 6th in the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll. James Madison led the poll, followed by Arkansas State, Troy, Old Dominion, and Southern Miss ahead of Coastal. The Chants finished fourth in the Sun Belt standings and reached the tour
