WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WJBF) - Drivers need to be aware of some scheduled road work starting on Tuesday.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, a damaged pipe will be replaced at US Route 25/State Route 24/State Route 121 and West 4th Street.
GDOT states that road closures are not scheduled, but lane closures will be required to perform this work so drivers should expect the right turn lane on W 4th St. to close for multiple days and access to Burke Health will not be impacted.
GOT adds that crews may set up additional temporary lane closures while on site to accomplish the repairs.
Drivers can receive real-time information on work status and traffic conditions by calling 511, visiting 511ga.org, or downloading the Georgia 511 app.
