A West Lothian man has turned his life around after his battle with drink and drug problems.
John McKnight, 36, has been recognised for his outstanding voluntary contribution to football in the community and has been honoured with two prestigious Scottish FA Grassroots Awards - the National Award for Volunteer of the Year in Adult Football and the East Region Volunteer of the Year in Adult Football.
John, founder of Fauldhouse United Sundays and former pro-youth player, previously lost his way in life due to alcohol and drug issues. He launched Fauldhouse United Sundays back in February of this year, reports West Lothian Courier.
